Wheatland Title’s Scott LeClere becomes ILTA president

All of us in Illinois real estate are optimistic for a busier-than-normal fall, and there’s good reason to believe that’s exactly what we’ll get, thanks to last month’s Federal Reserve cut and other factors. This all adds up to potential buyers and sellers coming off the sidelines and a flurry of activity for the fourth quarter of 2024.

If you’re a prospective buyer, now may be the time to talk to a real estate agent and/or loan officer about purchase power and how recent changes have affected home affordability in your local market.

However, we wanted to talk about something great that happened for the Wheatland Title Company family earlier this summer. Our very own Scott LeClere, Wheatland Title’s COO, was sworn in as the president of the Illinois Land Title Association (ILTA). Our entire team couldn’t be prouder. Scott is a great leader, and we know he has wonderful things in store for all title professionals in our state.

Why did Scott choose this responsibility? Because being an advocate for what we do as title professionals is important for all of us at Wheatland Title. Just listen to him talk about our strong state association.
“I’m excited to collaborate with all my fellow land title professionals and listen to any ideas you may have,” he said. “The Illinois Land Title Association is filled with talented, dedicated professionals, and I’m eager to continuing being an advocate for our industry.”

As many of our customers and partners know, we’re also involved in the American Land Title Association and the International Right of Way Association because we care about the future, not only for our company and our customers but our industry, too.

Plus, being active in these groups has tangible benefits for us. Our employees come back from ILTA and ALTA events knowing the latest trends and tips and are ready to apply all that knowledge to our transactions here at home. It’s a win-win for everyone. Advocacy matters, and we’re proud to be a title leader in Illinois.
